Busy Busy Busy

I can 't believe how hard it is to keep up with two toddlers!! They are so busy right now and never want to slow down. They are into everything and make the biggest messes. They have now found they can get into one of the drawers in the kitchen which has measuring cups and tupperware in it so every day they have it all out and I'm constantly tripping on everything. I thought last night that it would be a good idea to clean the bathroom really quick while the girls were playing so well. Well, I kept hearing what sounded like silverware and I knew they couldn't get into the silverware drawer so I came out and checked and Samantha had opened the dishwasher and was playing with a knife!! Luckily she was not cut and now we absolutely do NOT put any knives in the dishwasher, but I guess I'll have to find some kind of locking device for the dishwasher so they aren't playing with dirty dishes. Yuck!!
The girls LOVE being outside. They get so mad when you bring them in after playing outside. But they are literally into everything, taking rocks out of the flower beds, throwing rocks, trying to eat rocks, getting into whatever they can...Why can't they just play with the balls? They are so funny...
Lexxy knows what her belly button is and will pull her shirt up and point and say "bo, bo." We have a Sandra Boynton book called "They Belly Button Book" that calls the belly button the "bee bo." She makes us laugh every time!
Sammy has a word that she uses and it is mostly when she wants milk it is kind of like "thsks, thsks." She is constantly saying that word for everything and Lexxy says it sometimes too. Silly girls!
We got a Chevy Tahoe over the weekend and the girls' carseats are now right next to eachother. After I picked them up from daycare yesterday, I looked back and they were holding hands. They just love sitting next to eachother, it's so cute! I can't wait to see how they like the dvd player. We'll try it out this weekend on our way to Orofino.
I'll try and post some photos soon. This is a crazy week, but maybe by the first of next week I can get some up. The girls are getting so big. They have outgrown most of their 12 month clothes and are mostly wearing 18 months! I can't believe how big they are getting.

I bought the girls some swimsuits at our twins group garage sale. Not that they needed another suit, but they were so cute, I couldn't resist and they were only $1.50!! We had to try them on... (grin)

Sammy fell and hit her head on the end table. I though this would never heal. I think it hurt me more than her. That wound has already healed and she's replaced it with another...Toddlerhood is rough on a girl...

Easter Sunday ~

The girls enjoyed the warmer day and being outside. They love the different colors of the eggs and taking them in and out of their baskets. We couldn't have asked for a nicer day!

Here are the girls at the Boise Mothers of Multiples Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. It was a little cold and breezy, but the girls still had fun finding eggs.

So Many Changes!

Well, I still need to upload some recent photos, but so much has been going on since the girls' birthday. They are both totally walking. Sammy usually ends up with at least one injury a day lately...poor girl...always falling into something. On their birthday we went and got them forward-facing carseats so they are big girls now and can look out and see what's going on. They love it! They really like it when we are at a stop light and I turn around and smile at them. Their whole faces light up! So cute! Now that the sun has been out some, I got them some sunglasses. Sammy loves hers, but Lexxy just takes them off as soon as you put them on her. I will post some photos of Sammy in her new Hello Kitty sunglasses soon. So cute!! I was able to take them on a few rides in their new wagon this weekend. They are so funny. Just kicking their feet and talking to each other! The girls are also signing now. Darlene has been working with them for some time now and we started really working with them a couple weeks ago and they are signing "more, please" and "all done." It's so great when they can tell you what they want. Lexxy started saying "Uh oh" on her birthday and she must say it 100 times a day. It's so cute to hear her little voice. The girls are no longer eating baby food. I just dice everything up for them and they eat it!! They love all foods and love to eat! They haven't had formula for over a month and are just drinking whole milk (with no hormones, we don't want them developing before they need to). They love milk and are just having one bottle a day now before bed. I'm still not ready to wean them from the bottle, but probably will in the next month...I'll try and get some new photos on here soon!
